All organisations have a wealth of understanding, skills, knowledge and experience - sharing our ‘hidden powers’ amplifies skills and knowledge at work, and it can help people reflect on their existing strengths and talents and feel valued for these. It can promote ideas, conversations, and lead to innovation. We are exploring this more as we support Learning at Work week and encourage you to do the same.
There are ways to turn your company into a hive of happy employees and bring out the best in everyone. This is what we help businesses with every day and it’s no different for our own team here at Pro-Development. We just needed to allocate time to be together and build an amazing agenda to look at our profiles and styles, our strengths, our hidden super-powers, and our limiting beliefs or what is holding us back and work to unleash our passion, drive and vision. We all have an intrapreneur inside us that is bubbling away with ideas to improve things or new ideas, we just need to tap into it to bring about amazing results.
Here’s some ideas:
- Share your vulnerabilities or your proudest moments. It’s always amazing how people who work together often know little about each other’s back story or successes outside the business, spend some time on this! We had some incredible shares and created a deeper understanding of each other and stronger connection.
- Leaders, get the message out that you welcome, no crave, your teams’ ideas, creativity, talents and passions. Find ways to encourage that intrapreneurial mindset. You all know Michelle right? She’s walking the talk!
- Have a mechanism to turn those ideas into action, and this means allocating resources so ideas can be tested out and viability confirmed – give ideas a respectful hearing even if not viable.
- Get to know your people’s super-powers – in our team session we gave each other hidden feedback on how amazing we all are and boy there were some awesome strengths uncovered and shared. Really easy to achieve in your team, it just takes time, openness and trust.
- Be honest about the challenges, frame them as fascinating puzzles that need unravelling. We know that limiting beliefs and confidence are issues everyone battles with to some degree so get support, give support and really work on releasing those and turning them into history. With the amazing super-powers from Lisa Clifford we manifested our fears and limiting thoughts and threw them into the fire, replacing them with positive, strong and resilient replacements and the fire gave us an opportunity to shift our mindsets.
- Finally, think happy! Not smiley emoticons or cliches but that sense of satisfaction when your talents are engaged fully and you are putting your heart and soul into using your super-powers. It’s contagious and it’s a beautiful thing. What can you do to be more happy?
As always, but more now than ever, talent is a terrible thing to waste – whether you are unlocking, unleashing, want to boost morale and energy, want to build trust and transform your team, let’s get going! Let us know if we can help!
We’ve come away from our team session having learnt a great deal, with deeper understanding, clearer support for each other, a stronger sense of team, a calm connectedness that’s based on appreciation of each other’s challenges and a closeness that’s based on a foundation of trust. We are rocking our super-powers and we are always learning and developing!

Very much appreciated thank you. The day complemented other courses attended and current learning. It was nice to attend this course with colleagues as opposed to solo online learning. There were mechanisms and tools discussed that I will be able to take away and implement immediately.
