About the role
You are joining the team to play a crucial role in supporting our Learning & Development (L&D) team, coordinating workshops, managing resources and supporting our marketing efforts to help Pro-Development thrive and deliver more people centred support across Yorkshire and the Humber.
You’ll make a real difference by delivering exceptional operational support to ensure our learning and development workshops and programmes run smoothly. You will be helping our clients feel supported by creating and managing high-quality resources and collating feedback for continuous improvement, providing seamless support for training workshops and programmes. You will love a diverse role and be able to prioritise liaising across the team.
Working alongside our Sales and Marketing team, you will be helping to drive marketing initiatives by creating content, managing social media platforms, updating our website, and coordinating promotional activities. This will also involve organising and managing diaries and logistics for client reviews, events, workshops and exhibitions on behalf of the team and following up these events using our CRM system to build new relationships for the business.
You will enjoy building strong relationships with your teammates and clients and people outside of our company will remark on what a pleasure it is to speak with you.
To achieve this, you will:
- Be highly organised and love coordinating activities with precision.
- Have a creative flair for developing content that’s engaging and produces results and coming up with new ideas for marketing and operational improvements.
- Enjoy working with people and have excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Take initiative and bring a proactive approach to problem-solving and getting things done.
- Be adaptable and enjoy a mix of tasks, from administrative duties to marketing to customer-facing opportunities.
- Be tech-savvy with skills in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and if you have experience in CRM systems and basic website management that would be great but we can support your learning in this.
- Enjoy organising and supporting events and managing logistics, including room setup, catering, and attendee communication.

Reward and Career Progression
The salary for this role starts at £23,000 to £26,000 based on your ability to perform the role. There is a discretionary company performance bonus that you will be included in.

Working Hours and Location
We are looking for someone who wants to work full-time. We offer some flexibility around our approach to work although you will primarily be based in the office due to the nature of the role.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administration, sales, or marketing role.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills. We’re looking for someone with a friendly and professional manner to ensure positive customer interactions in person, over the phone, via email or online.
- Proven ability to manage diverse workloads with multiple competing priorities. You need to be logical, pragmatic, and methodical in your approach to organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Apps).
- Strong eye for detail to ensure accuracy in preparing resources, updating databases, and producing content.
- Good knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Positive, proactive, and results-driven with a passion for people.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage workload changes effectively and remain calm under pressure, maintaining focus during busy periods or unexpected challenges.
- Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and Maths.
Advantageous Criteria
- Experience working in an SME, Learning & Development, training, or coaching environment.
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software.
- Experience in planning and organising events, including logistics, attendee management, and promotional activities.
- A-levels in relevant subjects such as Business Studies, Marketing, or English.
- Ability to bring fresh ideas to improve marketing campaigns, events, and operational processes.
- Creative problem-solving skills for logistical and operational challenges.
- Familiarity with and CRM systems (e.g., Capsule) and content creation and updating websites.
