In part 1, we explored how change shows up in the workplace and how leaders can grow through change. But change doesn’t only affect our professional lives; it often begins much closer to home. While change in the workplace is often visible and structured, the most profound changes are often quieter and deeply personal. These are the shifts that happen beneath the surface, an internal recalibration, a renewed sense of purpose, or a decision to finally step into our full potential.
Just as the summer solstice represents a moment of peak light, a natural break before the earth begins to tilt toward a new season, it also offers us a powerful metaphor for personal growth. It’s a reminder that, like the changing seasons, we too are always evolving. Through our Inspiring Leadership Programmes and 2-day workshops, we’ve seen first-hand how these personal transformations unfold. Often, they begin with a single question:
“Where am I now, and where do I truly want to be?”
The human side of change and what we have learned:
1.Clarity comes from reflection – Like the solstice inviting us to pause and observe the season’s turning point, our programmes give people the space to step back and take stock. Delegates often share that simply being given permission to reflect opens doors they hadn’t known were closed.
2.Self-doubt is the first hurdle to growth – Many arrive feeling uncertain, questioning their worth or leadership potential. Through shared experiences, coaching, and challenge in a supportive environment, they discover that confidence isn’t something you find, it’s something you build.
3.Personal change fuels professional breakthroughs – When people reconnect with who they are, their leadership transforms. We’ve seen delegates go from hesitant to courageous, from reactive to intentional, and not just at work, but in how they communicate, parent, partner, and live.
4.Transformation can redefine life’s direction – Some of the most powerful outcomes we’ve witnessed have nothing to do with job titles. Delegates have made life-altering decisions, from pursuing new careers to setting boundaries, from leaving unfulfilling roles to stepping fully into leadership positions they once feared.
One delegate described the programme as “life changing” helping them see not just where they were, but who they had the potential to become. Our Remarkable Leadership Programme has been described as life changing” helping them see not just where they were, but who they had the potential to become. They have kindly shared some incredible feedback and insight into how the programme changed her in many ways. Please have a listen: Feedback 1 / Feedback 2 / Feedback 3
At the end of our recent Inspiring Leaders – Remarkable Leadership Programme, one delegate gave us the feedback: “The workshops were incredible- so cleverly thought out to ensure every style of leader was challenged, given an opportunity to try new ways experienced failure and celebrate success. So many moments which truly were life changing.”
At the end of our recent Skills Bootcamp Ultimate Managers Toolkit delegates wrote: ”I have taken far from it than I maybe thought I might, and I will use the things I have learnt throughout my career and life in general.” “I walked in thinking it might help me at work, but I know a lot already. I walked out with a whole new understanding of myself.”
At the end of Essentials of Management, one of the delegates spoke to us. Click here and listen to what had changed for them. Much like the solstice, a marker of change in the natural world, these personal turning points act as flares! They remind us all that growth often begins not with action, but with awareness. And once that awareness is lit, it can’t be extinguished.
Let This Be Your Turning Point
