Tracey Flannery

Operations Director

Tracey works at all levels, including Board and Director level, and is known for her ability to quickly understand complex situations, ask the right questions and help people gain clarity and confidence. Her work is rooted in real‑world experience, combining strategic thinking with an understanding of what it is really like to lead and manage people day to day.

An experienced facilitator, coach and mentor, Tracey delivers engaging and thought‑provoking development sessions that encourage reflection, challenge assumptions and inspire action. She has aligned her coaching to the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) code of conduct, been trained as a DiSC facilitator and is an accredited member of the TMSDI Team Management System Network, using Team Management Profiles, psychometrics and 360‑degree feedback to help teams work more effectively together.

Tracey’s background includes over 14 years supporting the growth of science, technology, creative, media and IT businesses, alongside more than 15 years in senior operational management roles across a wide range of sectors. This experience gives her a deep understanding of the pressures leaders face and the practical realities of building strong, engaged teams.

As often happens during difficult times, opportunity can also emerge. Tracey first worked with PRO‑DEVELOPMENT as a client while CEO of York Science Park, before joining the business in 2020 to work alongside Michelle following Covid and to drive a period of growth. Enjoying the opportunity to shape the future of the business, Tracey became a shareholder and business partner in 2022, and together they continue to grow PRO‑DEVELOPMENT from strength to strength.

Tracey holds a Diploma in Management and the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction and was awarded York Business Personality of the Year in 2016. Outside of work, she enjoys time at her allotment, where she finds space to reflect, recharge and reconnect.
